Shipping & Receiving

Manage shipping and receiving operations within a custom manufacturing environment by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and orders. Count, weigh, or measure items to ensure accuracy, then prepare items for shipment using proper containers, padding, and fillers. Determine appropriate shipping methods based on procedures, routes, and rates, while labeling, stenciling, or stamping cartons with required information. Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards, and maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to move and stage shipments as needed. Utilize strong computer, organizational, and communication skills with the intent to grow into departmental leadership.
