Job Summary
Coordinate shipping and receiving operations by packing, shipping, and receiving product while transporting materials, including hazardous items, throughout the facility. Verify physical counts against documents, assemble packing crates, and generate documentation such as bills of lading and invoices. Unload and inspect incoming packaging for damage, interact with internal and external customers to clarify priorities, and maintain inventory records through cycle counts. Utilize hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts to convey materials while adhering to safety rules. Work any shifts as required, providing cross-training in equipment and process operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- A minimum of 2+ years shipping or related experience
- Intermediate computer, language, and math skills
- good hand-eye coordination
- general level of understanding of technical product and process knowledge
- basic understanding and knowledge of trade compliance documentations, regulations and screenings
- Must meet all training requirements as defined by department
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
