Job Summary
Verify incoming plater and broker material against job and purchase orders, directing discrepancies to quality. Pre-package parts in appropriate quantities and sizes, adhering to special instructions from customer service or purchasing. Retrieve orders from inventory based on due dates, print pick lists, and label shipments for correct disposition. Process paperwork for quality and customer service, ensuring all documentation accompanies parts. Maintain a clean and organized work area while managing spring and wire-form shipments. Requires two years of shipping experience, forklift operation, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling
- Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment
- Intermediate understanding of logistics, freight carriers, and warehouse procedures
- Ability to read and interpret packing lists, purchase orders, work orders, and shipping documents
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Capability of working from verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate with other departments in a professional manner and treat others with respect
- Ability to work independently on primary responsibilities
- Engage in a team environment to resolve issues
