Job Summary
Execute shipping activities including receiving, picking, packing, and loading/unloading of shipments to meet quality standards. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely while maintaining accurate inventory records using RF scanners. Ensure all outgoing shipments have correct labeling, documentation, and packaging to support customer service efforts. Coordinate with warehouse team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and resolve discrepancies. Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures, inside and outside.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Shipping Operator or similar role in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Proficiency in operating warehouse machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and inventory management
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding role
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to warehouse operations
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Stand, walk, bend, and lift along with mount and proper dismount from the forklift throughout the shift
