Job Summary
Contribute to accident-free operations by operating forklifts to safely load outbound shipments and pulling inventory according to pick tickets. Scan items with an RF scanner, record inventory locations, and manually write order numbers on shipments before turning completed tickets into the Shipping Office. Inspect dunnage boards and shipments for damage, replacing items as necessary, and assist with tarping duties when requested. Ensure yard organization and inventory accuracy while maintaining compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations. Work the 3rd shift from 9:45 PM to 6 AM Sunday through Thursday at a site within James Hardie's global network of manufacturing and recycling facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar position
- Linde and Crown forklift certification or ability to be trained on the job
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong reading, mathematical and comprehension skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to operate RF Scanner
- Ability to work outside in all-weather elements
- Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Work schedule flexibility to accommodate the needs of the business
- Demonstrated ability to work within company values
