Shipping Operations Manager

Job Summary
Oversee shipping and loading operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; lead and develop a team; coordinate shipment schedules with manufacturing, sales, and customer service; monitor workflow and staffing to maximize efficiency; collaborate with plant leadership to prioritize shipments and align logistics activities with production schedules; work with carriers and drivers to ensure timely product movement; investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies and customer delivery concerns; maintain compliance with safety standards and transportation regulations; track performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings; support inventory accuracy and material flow initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in logistics, warehouse operations, transportation, manufacturing, or distribution
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive operational performance
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Working knowledge of freight coordination, shipment scheduling, and warehouse operations
- Experience collaborating across departments to achieve operational goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and business operating systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
