Shipping Manager Needed in the Great State of Georgia

Shipping Manager reports to the Yard Manager and oversees tracking and handling of materials, parts, products, and stock while supporting daily outbound shipments and customer service. Responsibilities include reading Bill of Ladings and shipping reports, maintaining communication with customers, ensuring on-time delivery, supervising load-building associates and commercial drivers, managing daily yard operations (inbound/outbound shipments, issue resolution, setting expectations with associates, partnering with the yard manager), alerting management to delays or discrepancies with suppliers/shippers, monitoring inventory and supply usage, scheduling yard transfers, and reviewing vendor invoices. Requires strong communication, detail orientation, ability to work in an outside environment, and proficient use of Microsoft Office.
