Job Summary
Manage on-time delivery processes and optimize shipping operations to ensure production lines meet quality and timeliness standards. Lead, train, and supervise transportation staff, including drivers and administrative personnel, while overseeing fleet maintenance and equipment needs. Adhere to safety standards and regulations, including handling DOT recordable accidents and emergency situations, and manage labor and supply budgets. Handle customer requests and provide regular coaching to team members. This role requires a full-time salary position with minimal local travel, scheduled according to production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of management experience
- 5 years in production or manufacturing
- High school diploma
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Comprehensive understanding of the driver vetting and hiring process
- Experienced in handling DOT recordable accidents and emergency situations
- Familiar with equipment needs specific to shipping and transportation
- General knowledge of packaging standards including weights and dimensions
- Understanding of various shipment types: third party, LTL, small package, hazmat etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desired Qualifications
- higher education in supply chain, transportation, or related fields
- Specific experience in supply chain or transportation management
- Proven track record of managing large teams in a manufacturing environment
- CDL-A
- Forklift Certification
