Shipping Lead

Direct shipping department activities by administering the truck scheduling system and developing delivery schedules for all orders. Monitor the shipping schedule, correspond with customers and sales, and process customer pickups as required. Collaborate with other supervisors on all shifts to ensure prompt, accurate loading and shipping of finished product while maintaining safety policies. Reconcile the daily shipping log, schedule dock appointments, and contact outside carriers as needed. Assist in warehouse operations, respot trailers, and compile daily performance reports. Maintain a neat work area and recommend efficiency improvements. Full-time role in a manufacturing plant setting requiring five years of shipping supervision experience.
