Job Summary
Lead and direct the daily activities of the loading and shipping team, coordinating priorities based on production schedules and customer delivery requirements. Ensure all shipments are accurate, complete, and meet specifications by verifying product identification, bundle tags, labels, and shipping documentation. Complete and maintain accurate shipping transactions within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) while operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment safely. Monitor finished goods inventory, investigate discrepancies, and conduct daily inspections of equipment and loading areas. Train employees on procedures, safety policies, and standardized work while enforcing 5S practices and identifying process improvements. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Horseshoe Beach, Florida location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping experience
- Minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes
- Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and use MES, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and production schedules
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standard
- Previous experience using a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- Experience in metal manufacturing or the building products industry
- Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse best practices
- Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Continuous Improvement experience
- Familiarity with DOT loading and cargo securement requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
