Job Summary
Dock/Inventory Specialist at Eurofins Food Chemistry Madison responsible for assisting with dock workflow, coordinating with the shipping team to organize incoming/outgoing shipments, verifying and recording shipments, preparing items for shipment (ARF, temping, coding, addressing, stamping, shipping), and maintaining safe, orderly dock operations. Requires GMP/GLP application, knowledge of hazardous materials (IATA DG, DOT HM), ability to verify documents (work orders, bill of lading), and strong recordkeeping. Must load/unload freight safely, operate necessary equipment, participate in physical inventories, and collaborate with other departments to meet company needs. On-the-job training for handling hazardous wastes and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements; overtime and weekend work as needed; potential exposure to food allergens.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree, diploma, or a GED equivalent certificate
- one to two years of related experience and/or training
- Certified in IATA Dangerous Goods
- Knowledge of DOT Hazardous Materials
- Ability to learn new tasks
- Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently
- OT overtime and weekend work as required
- Will be exposed to potential food allergens
