Job Summary
Operate forklifts and perform other shipping duties, including loading product, wrapping loads, and verifying quality standards on outbound shipments. Ship and receive all product in and out of the plant location, while examining documents to ensure outbound and incoming contents match paperwork. Prepare shipping documentation such as work orders, bills of lading, and packing slips, and record data regarding damages, rejected trailers, and discrepancies. Shuttle product to outside warehousing, compute weights and pallet amounts, and process customer returns. Confer with supervisors, peers, and external representatives to resolve shortages, late trucks, and quality issues, and act as backup for material handlers and plant subcontracting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have physical coordination to operate forklift
- Reach Truck experience
- English speaking, reading and writing skills and comprehension
- Must be willing and able to work overtime
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- Must have reasoning ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Know, understand and pass all needed skill level matrix
- Know and understand SAP application in regards to inventory, production and shipments
- Know and understand all shipping protocol and procedures
- Must be able to work alternate schedules and rotating weekends off
Desired Qualifications
- Manufacturing experience
- Forklifts (Reach Truck experience needed)
