Job Summary
Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments with accuracy and timeliness, practicing proper forklift operation and preventive maintenance. Conduct visual product quality inspections, document all shipments and receipts, and report discrepancies. Assist with monthly cycle counts and maintain a safe working record by communicating unsafe conditions immediately. This role requires full-time flexibility, including weekends and on-call duties for repairs. The position involves physically lifting 75 pounds to a height of six feet and working in temperature extremes.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a certified forklift operator
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to repeatedly lift 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet
- Must be able to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 8 continuous hours
- Must have the ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time in temperature extremes
- Must have the ability to use hands, arms and legs to physically handle and transport finished goods
- Must have full range of body motion on a daily basis including twisting, bending, reaching, squatting and ability to mount/dismount industrial equipment and vehicles
- Must be able to work as a member of a team
- Must be team oriented
- Must have written and verbal skills
- Must have basic mathematical skills
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be energetic
- Must be able to work 40+ hours per week
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for on-call duties
