Job Summary
Shipping Desk Clerk responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, verifying shipping documentation, maintaining shipping records, and generating Bills of Lading (BOLs). Responsibilities include reviewing and processing daily shipment orders, ensuring documentation is complete, distributing daily shipping schedules to warehouse personnel, coordinating loading locations, logging driver arrivals/departures, obtaining driver signatures, validating shipment details against scheduling records, and maintaining organized shipment files. Requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills, proficiency with computers and scanners, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced shipping environment. Prior shipping/logistics/warehouse administration or dispatch experience preferred.
