Job Summary
Process daily shipping, receiving, and interplant transfer transactions while ensuring accurate documentation and OSHA compliance. Determine order ship dates based on production schedules and inventory availability, then communicate status changes and resolve backorders with Sales and Operations teams. Collaborate with Production, Traffic, and other departments to optimize shipping capacity and drive continuous improvement. Operate in both office and manufacturing environments, wearing required PPE and managing shifting priorities under tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High school or GED
- Prior experience in shipping, logistics, or manufacturing operations
- Demonstrated success collaborating with other departments, ex production, traffic, and sales departments
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities
- Travel: None
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with ERP or shipping systems
- Proven tracking of managing logistics documentation and transaction accuracy
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements and environmental regulations
- Effective communication and coordination skills
