Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate all shipping activities, including scheduling shipments and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Liaise with shipping carriers and logistics providers, generate shipping documents, and monitor the status of shipments. Address issues during the shipping process and identify opportunities to streamline shipping operations. Requires a high school diploma, ability to follow instructions, working knowledge of MS Office, and the ability to manage priorities. Preferred qualifications include certifications related to international shipping and experience with D365.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software
- Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Work as a team and/or independently
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
- Regular and punctual attendance is expected
- Maintain physical condition and health to perform assigned job duties
Desired Qualifications
- International Air Transport Association (IATA) certified
- International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) certified
- Experience with international shipping
- Working knowledge of D365 and Microsoft Dynamics GP
Additional Requirements
- Handling and working with hazardous materials and chemical manufacturing equipment is routine
- Expected to follow company safety rules and use proper personal protection equipment
