Job Summary
Partner with sales to generate freight shipping quotes and coordinate delivery schedules with carriers like FedEx, DHL, and UPS. Interpret sales orders to determine preferred shipping methods, track shipments for stakeholders, and resolve issues promptly while ensuring daily deadlines are met. Operate a forklift to load trucks and assist with packing components using a foam machine, labeling, and preparing parts for industrial painting. Use forklift certification and basic power tools to ensure safe, secure packaging that minimizes damage during transit. Work Monday through Friday in Gorham, Maine, with PPE provided, to support the global manufacturing of high-power industrial microwave systems and RF technology.
Required Qualifications
- Previous shipping experience in long haul/international shipping
- Previous manufacturing environment experience
- Forklift certification
- Willingness to be certified for forklift
- Strong communication skills including telephone skills
- Demonstrated computer skills, particularly working with online shipping platforms
- Teamwork skills
- Ability to think strategically to solve shipping challenges
- Reliable and dependable
- Demonstrated time management skills to meet deadlines
- Takes pride in work with a strong focus on quality
- Ability to operate basic power tools
- Willingness to be trained on basic power tools
- Workplace safety mindset
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
