Job Summary
Detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator responsible for supporting daily outbound shipping operations and ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately, efficiently, and on time. Acts as a key link between the warehouse, carriers, and customer service, coordinating daily outbound shipments, obtaining freight quotes, creating Bills of Lading (BOLs), scheduling pickups, maintaining shipment logs, and communicating shipping priorities. Requires strong organizational and time-management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, proficient use of computers and shipping tools, and attention to detail. Role emphasizes collaboration with warehouse and customer service teams and adherence to safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, freight coordination, distribution, or warehouse operations preferred
- Experience with LTL shipments, freight quoting, and Bills of Lading (BOLs) preferred
- Experience coordinating carrier pickups and transportation activities preferred
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
