Job Summary
Coordinate all aspects of processing shipments for customers by using the ERP system to determine orders based on readiness and acknowledged ship dates. Generate pick slips, packing slips, bills of lading, VGM, and commercial invoices for domestic and export orders while verifying product inventory. Safely pull, stage, and load inventory, including bracing product inside transit equipment and performing outbound inspections. Handle questions and maintain open communication with other departments throughout the shipping cycle, including tracking shipments and coordinating late or rush orders. Verify received materials against purchase orders, process daily Marine Division releases, and book pickups via third-party logistics. Conduct cycle counts, research discrepancies, and maintain warehouse organization. Identify unsafe practices or insufficiently packaged items for management improvements. Process daily Federal Express shipments and obtain shipping quotes for the Sales Department.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Forklift Certified
- 3+ years of warehouse, inventory management, logistics and compliance
- Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems
- Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Regularly and repetitively lift 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques
- Able to stand, climb, bend and walk for an extended amount of time and up to 8 hours
- Able to work in an office and warehouse environment
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a post offer background check and drug screen
