Job Summary
Coordinate all US/Canada project shipments, including customs requirements and documentation, while selecting carriers based on cost, timelines, and customer needs. Approve shipping and customs invoices, maintain the Shipping Matrix and tracking tools, and communicate professionally with customers regarding shipment timing and tracking. Process design samples, architectural kits, and marketing materials; manage outgoing mail and courier services including FedEx notifications. Advise production and management on incoming and outgoing deliveries, answer calls to triage inquiries, and maintain organized filing systems and shredding schedules. Work full-time in Kelowna, BC, with minimal travel under 5%, earning $52,000 to $68,000 annually. Report to the Sr Logistics Coordinator.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of shipping procedures, logistics coordination, and customs documentation
- Experience in export/import procedures
- Ability to manage high volumes of shipments with attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication skills with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and digital filing systems
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and make routine shipping decisions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks under time-sensitive conditions
- Customer service orientation for communicating with customers and vendors
- Ability to support multiple managers and departments concurrently
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds
