Shipping Clerk

Job Summary
Plan and manage shipping schedules to meet branch and customer delivery requirements while coordinating warehouse operations including picking, packing, and operating equipment. Coordinate movement of goods from shipper to destination, liaising with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to resolve delays, damages, and compliance issues. Unload and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders, verify contents, and maintain accurate records of tracking and documentation. Oversee yard operations for safety and efficiency, manage the fork truck fleet, and conduct lane audits to support inventory accuracy. Perform weekly and monthly lane audits, research discrepancies, and assist Customer Care with escalations to ensure excellent service. Adhere to CTPAT regulations, OSHA standards, and company safety policies while promoting Victaulic's leadership values.
Required Qualifications
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and practices
- Good organizational, analytical problem solving, and communication skills
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of people
- Must be responsible and self-motivated
- Willing to work extra hours as project or production needs dictate
- Must be willing and available to work weekends on an on-going basis
- Must be willing to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Previous experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing environment
