Shipping Clerk/Order Picker

Job Summary
Coordinate and process outbound and inbound shipments by picking, verifying, and preparing customer and internal orders for accurate distribution. Package, label, and stage materials while generating shipping documentation and managing carrier pickups. Receive incoming shipments, unload, inspect, and stock received materials in designated locations to maintain inventory accuracy. Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move, stage, and load materials safely. Monitor inventory levels through routine cycle counts and resolve shipping, inventory, and delivery issues promptly. Communicate effectively with internal departments, carriers, and suppliers regarding schedules and shipment concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, packing slips, bills of lading, shipping labels, and other warehouse documentation
- Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter and retrieve information from warehouse systems
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting productivity expectations
- Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing business needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
- Ability to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks or obtain certification as required
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to support business operations
- Commitment to following all safety policies, quality standards, and company procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse, shipping, receiving, distribution, or manufacturing environment
- Experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or handheld RF scanners
