Job Summary
Pack orders, inspect items for damage or missing parts, and transport goods to the shipping dock according to specifications. Track all orders to ensure inventory is accurately recorded while maintaining a professional, clean, and safe work area. Perform all duties in accordance with established safety procedures, including the use of hearing and eye protection. This role reports to the Plant Manager within the Shipping Department at Global Abrasives, Inc. in Lockport, NY. The position involves working in a fast-paced production environment where candidates must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in basic computer applications
- Basic mathematical ability
- Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills
- Able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (30 to 50 pounds in weight)
- Problem-solver who can think quantitatively and notice defects and errors quickly
- Using a high level of attention to detail/detail oriented
- Strong communication skills
- High School Diploma, or GED
- Ability to lift or move up to 45 pounds
- Must be able to physically perform all job duties
