Job Summary
Support production needs by providing work orders for manufacturing, data entry, and inventory supply of consumable items. Assist with creating work orders, labels, and barcodes, and process and tally inbound and outbound shipments while ensuring accuracy of all tallies and loads. Conduct spot inventory cycle counts and perform weekly physical inventory of consumables for the plant. Provide updates to management on status of work orders and daily production, and assist with load diagrams for trucks and rail orders to maximize freight utilization. Adhere to all work safety rules and regulations. This role supports the lumber manufacturing plant in Prince George, BC, with a typical Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must have own reliable transportation as there is no public transportation to the plant.
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship.
- Professional telephone skills required with emphasis on customer service.
- Able to communicate effectively with internal staff and work in a team-focused environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Lumber manufacturing or lumber yard experience an asset.
- Minimum two years' related experience an asset.
