Job Summary
Route outbound freight to assure delivery, monitor carrier performance, and determine cost-effective shipping methods. Pull, pack, and prepare orders for local, national, and internal shipments via various carriers. Maintain shipping and receiving logs, process loss freight claims, and verify freight bills with accounting. Supervise loading and unloading of delivery trucks while ensuring workplace safety compliance. Inspect incoming shipments, log receiving activities, and process returned goods by forwarding return authorizations. Prepare goods for outside processing by comparing blueprints to parts, wrapping items, and utilizing forklifts to load outgoing processing POs. Requires high school diploma, organizational skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
