Job Summary
Route and track all outbound cargo including parcel, LTL, FTL, Air, and Ocean shipments while providing contract or spot quote costs. Communicate with shippers and brokers to facilitate routing, resolve domestic and international shipping issues, and ensure client contacts are informed of any delays. Coordinate export documentation filing, interface with the Logistics Execution Center using designated TMS systems, and verify picks against purchase orders for correct Incoterms and serial numbers. Close all shipments in SAP with tracking and freight costs, verify pickup departures, and report discrepancies. Actively capture savings opportunities and provide coverage for the shipping department during service availability hours.
Required Qualifications
- Warehouse or shipping experience
- Must be able to lift 150 lbs
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to type
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to wear steel-toed boots
- Must be available for weekend support
- Must be available for after-hours support
- Must be available for on-call rotation
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday
- Must be able to work 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Must be able to resolve client and carrier issues
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have high proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to analyze data to improve processes within the warehouse
- Must be able to route and track outbound cargo
- Must be able to provide contract or spot quote costs
- Must be able to communicate with shippers, brokers, customers
- Must be able to resolve international and domestic shipping issues
- Must be able to coordinate and support export documentation filing and processing
- Must be able to interface with client designated Logistics Execution Center

- Must be able to review customer purchase orders
- Must be able to verify picks and print packing slips
- Must be able to send pre-alerts with customs documents
- Must be able to coordinate with freight forwarders
- Must be able to close shipments in SAP
- Must be able to verify shipments have left the facility
- Must be able to comply with document retention procedures
- Must be able to look for and capture savings opportunities
- Must be able to provide coverage for each shift
- Must be able to support the training of new employees
