Job Summary
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, then unload, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations. Pick and prepare sales, work, and transfer orders accurately while utilizing RF scanners and warehouse management systems to process inventory transactions. Distribute received materials to appropriate departments and validate, pack, and stage customer orders for UPS and LTL freight shipments. Assist with loading outbound shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery, maintaining inventory accuracy through proper material handling and supporting cycle counts. Operate powered industrial equipment safely, including forklifts and reach trucks, following all safety standards. Work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Lynchburg, Virginia plant.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- 1-3 years experience of shipping and receiving experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment using RF gun and warehouse systems
- 1 year of experience operating powered industrial trucks, including forklift and reach trucks
- Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, operating instructions, and work orders
- Basic mathematical skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work at heights of up to 20 feet
- Must be able to bend, stretch, walk, and stand for the majority of the shift
