Job Summary
Shipping Clerk responsibilities include overseeing inbound/outbound shipping, verifying packing slips and container counts against bills of lading, preparing accurate shop orders, loading/unloading various vehicles, and providing courteous customer service. The role requires proficiency with the PICS system, ability to verify weights and specifications, generate freight forms and logs, communicate changes to process requirements or prints, and maintain organized shipping/receiving areas. Requires basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and forklift certification eligibility. Minimum 3 months related experience and a high school diploma or GED are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 3+ months of experience in a similar or related role
- Able to pass preemployment physical and drug screen (including THC)
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification
- Proficient with basic computer programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet)
