Job Summary
Prepare and assemble garage door springs based on customer orders. Read order details, select the closest matching spring, cut to length with a torch and hand tools, install cones, and complete spring assembly per order. Learn to identify left-hand and right-hand wound springs, operate hand/power tools and basic equipment, and ensure accuracy and safety. Maintain a clean, organized work area, follow safety procedures for heated materials, read a tape measure, and communicate in English to understand work instructions. Must be able to lift up to 75lbs and maintain prompt attendance. Pre-employment drug test and background check are required; starting wage is $22.50 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED required
- 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred or equivalent experience
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Able to lift up to 75lbs
- Authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
- English communication (oral and written) for work instructions and safety procedures
