Job Summary
Operate shipping and warehouse equipment safely while scanning inbound packages into the system and reporting technical issues. Ship outbound packages exceeding 800 daily and build, prep, and organize shipping boxes at a rate of 500+ per day. Stock supplies across various departments, put away deliveries, and enter productivity numbers into the tracker. Identify unsafe situations immediately and notify management while maintaining all safety protocols. Work full-time on-site in an air-conditioned warehouse, lifting up to 50 lbs and standing or walking for up to 8 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Entry level shipping
- Can safely operate a pallet jack and straddle stacker and/or the willingness to learn
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and strict situations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Professional, high-integrity, reliable, organized, driven and results-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to utilize computers and various basic programs (including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and OpenOffice)
- Ability to Stand or walk for up to 8 hours and be able to bend, stoop, lift, climb, and pull on a consistent basis
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. without physical restrictions
- Sense of urgency and comfort level to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates clear and polite written and oral communication
- Accurately follow verbal and written instructions
- Detail oriented
- Positive attitude
- Must be okay to work independently
- Must have reliable transportation
- Knowledge of FedEx, UPS Worldship and USPS shipping methods
- Typing skill is +30 wpm
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
