Job Summary
Operate bale clamp lift trucks, forklifts, and roll clamp trucks to receive OCC, totes, and freight, then stage bales in yard sections and stage rolls for shipping. Direct incoming traffic, process receiving documentation, and weigh trucks. Insert moisture probes into bales, stage rolls safely, and plan loads in railcars, vans, and flatbeds. Load outgoing shipments using BPs or clamp trucks, print BOLs, and provide shipping documentation. Comprehend trim schedules, convert rolls from hold to good, and work with rail crews and dispatchers. Operate Mesa units, use required software, and follow safety checklists. Work rotating shifts with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to read & write simple sentences and speak to others in English
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple written or oral instructions
- Applicants must pass a mechanical aptitude test
- Able to drive fork lift truck, clamp truck, and B/P truck
- Ability to rail push, drive rail pusher
- Knowledge of roll storage areas example C001, A001, ST4
- Ability to comprehend smart sheet, log data, Print BOL, and provide necessary shipping documentation
- Need to have aptitude for using technology including computer software: Outlook, Mesa and other programs
- Be able to operate Mesa units mounted on lifts
- Work rotating shift, or fixed shift and overtime when necessary
