Job Summary
Gather, inspect, and organize canvassing materials including literature and pens, then package items securely according to specified guidelines. Coordinate with carriers to arrange pickups and deliveries while maintaining accurate inventory records to prevent shortages. Conduct quality checks on outgoing shipments to verify accuracy and compliance. This temporary, part-time role reports to the Shipping Manager and requires evening and weekend availability. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and possess the physical ability to lift heavy boxes and operate basic equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including inventory management software and Google Suite
- Commitment to upholding quality standards and ensuring the timely delivery of materials to support canvassing initiatives
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy boxes and materials on a regular basis
- Comfortable performing physical tasks such as standing, bending, reaching, and operating basic shipping and packaging equipment throughout the shift
- Current valid driver's license and access to personal transportation
- Vision/hearing abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience in shipping, warehouse operations, or a related field, with specific experience in handling bulk materials advantageous
- Familiarity with shipping regulations and best practices, particularly as they pertain to the transportation of promotional materials
