Job Summary
Schedule and coordinate outbound and inbound truck loads with sales and production while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. Verify driver logs, manage internal equipment, and negotiate carrier rates to control expenses. Resolve transportation issues, audit freight bills, and process claims for inventory loss or damage. Prepare required reports and correspondence, and investigate order shortages to facilitate compensation. Manage data systems and handle tracing or expediting calls as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Production Manager or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent
- Preferred experience and knowledge of UFP's organization, culture, and product lines
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
