Job Summary
Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management for all Shipping and Receiving personnel while conducting evaluations and developing employee plans. Direct inbound and outbound material flow activities to support manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate inventory transactions and timely customer deliveries. Lead daily department meetings, manage labor resources, and collaborate with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve material shortages and shipping constraints. Oversee scheduling, prioritize shipments based on production demands, and ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, EAR, DFARS, CMMC, and NADCAP requirements. Investigate discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Demonstrated experience leading teams of hourly employees in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with employee coaching, performance management, scheduling, and workforce planning
- Strong understanding of warehouse management, inventory control, logistics, and ERP systems
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive operational improvements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to prioritize day to day activities in the most efficient manner
- Ability and willingness to proactively plan next days priorities
- Ability and willingness to adapt to unanticipated schedule changes
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management in a professional manner
- Ability to plan direct, time efficient routes for pickups and deliveries
