Job Summary
Supervise daily shipping and receiving operations for vendor deliveries and customer orders, ensuring all shipments are logged, packaged, and securely loaded. Create daily shipping paperwork for outsourced parts, verify delivery paperwork against purchase orders, and coordinate with the Sales department for individual part orders. Provide oversight to direct reports including the Raw Stock Inventory Clerk, ensuring inventory is marked, pulled, and organized while mentoring staff to maximize performance. Communicate company goals and policies to ensure they are followed across the team.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of shipping and receiving experience with increasing responsibilities
- some lead supervisory experience
- Forklift experience
- material handling experience
- Experience with DHL, UPS, FedEx, Priority One, or similar shipping and delivery services
- Freight forwarding experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to safely handle, move, load, and unload materials and shipments while ensuring proper material-handling procedures are followed
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple shipments, customer orders, vendor deliveries, and outside service requirements in a timely manner
- Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, resolve shipping and receiving issues, and maintain accurate documentation and inventory records
- Physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement
- Ability to frequently climb on ladders or stairs
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight
- Ability to operate assigned equipment and vehicles
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds
- Ability to wear Personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe shoes and safety glasses
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction
- QMS indoctrination within sixty (60) days of hire
