Shipping and Receiving Quality Inspector

Job Summary
Shipping and Receiving Quality Inspector responsible for verifying and keeping records on outgoing shipments, comparing identifying information and counts/weights against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Move parts from production to shipping areas, read work orders, verify counts and buy-offs, inspect parts for defects, package/bundle per customer and Sonaca North America quality specs, move packaged items to shipping/receiving, load into crates, operate forklift and vehicle for local transport, affix labels, assemble containers, inspect shipments against specifications, interpret orders and drawings for inspection, conduct internal audits of the Quality Management System, and participate in cross-functional teams and continuous improvement projects. May cross-train or assist in other areas to meet fluctuating demands. Strong emphasis on quality, documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with safety and PPE requirements. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred
- 1+ years related experience preferred
- Valid Class B CDL and clean DMV record
- Ability to reference customer specifications and QAPs
- Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, blueprints, mylars, engineering drawings
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Computer literacy and knowledge of Windows
- Ability to work in a team and multi-task in fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 10-50 pounds occasionally
- Strong organizational skills
