Job Summary
Lead and manage the Shipping and Receiving department in Mayville, overseeing inventory control, shipping/receiving, scheduling, quality, safety and environmental compliance. Responsibilities include receiving freight and entering information into the mainframe, prioritizing work, coordinating with Home Office for special mailings and quality assurance, standardizing procedures for timely and accurate processing, determining best shipping methods, maintaining shipping records, negotiating with vendors to secure best service and price, performing duties of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk as needed, developing and maintaining a well-trained staff, and enforcing discipline and performance management. Requires attention to detail, teamwork across departments, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced Lean manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years supervisory experience in shipping/receiving environment
- Fluency reading, writing and speaking English
- Strong basic math skills
- Previous forklift experience
- Exposure to a fast paced Lean manufacturing environment
- Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently
