Job Summary
Shipping and Receiving Lead responsible for supervising a team of receiving clerks, ensuring accurate receipt and processing of incoming shipments, validating purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices, and maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts. Leads process improvements to enhance receiving efficiency, enforces safety and company policies, trains new staff on procedures, and maintains an organized receiving area while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in receiving or warehouse operations
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and inventory management software
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift operator certification
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
