Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Job Summary
Manage purchasing functions, shipping, and receiving while maintaining an effective filing system and assisting in obtaining bids for hotel supplies. Verify authorized purchase orders, check pricing against vendors, and input all documentation into the computer. Support the Purchasing Director with interdepartmental correspondence, maintain approved vendor lists with contact details, and organize bid records for historical reference. Ensure proper receiving procedures to maintain product freshness, assist with monthly inventories, and manage office supplies storage room access. Approach all guest and employee encounters with a courteous, service-oriented demeanor while complying with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a hotel or related field
- Progressive experience in a hotel or college related courses
- Ability to understand and utilize basic computer equipment and applications to include word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to routinely meet deadlines
- Ability to multi task
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- Progressive experience in a hotel or college related courses preferred
