Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments while preparing items for shipment to quality and productivity standards. Operate lift trucks, hand trucks, and stretch wrap banders to convey materials. Unpack, examine, and route shipments, rejecting damaged items and corresponding with shippers to rectify issues. Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies, tracking goods via computer functions. Arrange carrier pickups based on customer purchase orders and make deliveries to suppliers using a company van. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor and maintain a clean, orderly work area following safety regulations.
