Job Summary
Verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information against bills of lading, invoices, and sales orders. Visually examine freight for damages or shortages, document discrepancies, and route items to departments while maintaining accurate inventory. Operate a forklift or hand-truck to move, convey, and stack materials, ensuring the shipping area remains clear of debris. Complete pre-use equipment inspections, submit fix tickets, and assist with cycle counting duties. Maintain in-process inventory by delivering and opening materials from production. Work with the team to analyze and resolve operational issues while adhering to all safety policies. Requires 3 years of forklift certification, 1-3 years in manufacturing or logistics, and familiarity with WMS/inventory software.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years forklift experience with certification or capacity to gain certification
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1-3 years Manufacturing, Inventory Control or Logistics experience
- 1-3 years' experience in assembly, packaging or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge or experience with inventory control systems information systems
- General usage of, Outlook, Excel, Word Processing
- Familiar with WMS/inventory software
- Process-oriented with excellent attention to detail in a fast paced, high stress environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work independently and on a team with limited supervision
- Ability to handle multiple tasks along with excellent time management skills
- Flexibility to work across multiple operations including packing, assembly and production
- Flexibility to travel between multiple PD locations
- Must be willing to work at all Solid locations if needed
