Job Summary
Shipping & Receiving Clerk I supports basic material movement and documentation tasks within a warehouse, distribution center, or plant environment. The role emphasizes process adherence, teamwork, and accuracy, performing routine tasks under guidance from supervisors or more experienced clerks. Responsibilities include assisting with receiving incoming shipments and preparing outgoing orders, verifying shipment contents against packing slips and bills of lading, reporting discrepancies, moving materials to storage or staging areas, loading/unloading deliveries, completing basic shipping and receiving documentation, entering data into inventory/ERP systems, labeling and stocking materials, supporting cycle counts, following safety procedures, and collaborating with warehouse, production, and logistics teams. Key skills include attention to detail, ability to follow standard procedures, basic computer/data-entry abilities, effective communication, and a safety-focused, dependable, and learning-oriented mindset.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0–2 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material-handling experience preferred but not required
