Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Summary
Pickup, sort, process, load, ship, receive, unload, and deliver mail, packages, and freight at a client's site. Inspect items, report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor, and utilize computers, manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks to accomplish tasks. Prepare and ship non-regulated packages received daily, coordinate courier pick-ups and deliveries, and resolve related issues with stakeholders. Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition while following safety regulations. Perform room setups, building safety tours, and other minor maintenance tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to interact with client personnel
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to present information in a clear and concise manner
- A high degree of accuracy is required for handling sensitive equipment and proper routing of shipments
- Ability to work in fast paced environment while managing multiple work streams and priorities
- Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice or implementation
- Ability to detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's - Bachelor's Degree in related area.
- Previous logistics experience.
