Job Summary
Shipping and Receiving Clerk responsibilities include verifying orders by comparing items and quantities, ensuring proper packing and labeling of shipments, loading shipments for transport, preparing and maintaining records such as manifests and bills of lading, updating inventory records, and compiling weekly/monthly management reports. Navy logistics experience and understanding of Navy shipping documents are preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently or with others, US citizenship, valid driver's license, and an active SECRET clearance are required. Physical duties include walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, sitting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Navy military logistics experience preferred
- Understanding and knowledge of Navy shipping and receiving documents
- Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels
- Ability to work independently and with others equally
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Security Clearance Requirements: active SECRET clearance
- Physical Demands: walking, lifting (50lbs), sitting, bending, standing for extended periods
