Job Summary
Shipping & Receiving Associate duties include packing & shipping parts according to specifications and approved packaging, distributing parts to production departments, receiving incoming items and allocating to correct locations, maintaining organization of parts and packaging materials, notifying purchasing for supply replenishment, data processing with the company’s business system (FBS), scheduling shipments and preparing shipping documents per DOT/IATA requirements, following customer drawings' packaging instructions, and assisting in packaging and physical counting as needed. Requires High School Diploma or GED, experience in shipping/logistics, computer skills, strong communication, ability to lift up to 85 pounds, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, organizational skills, and forklift training with Hazmat certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or related fields
- Computer skills including spreadsheet and word-processing programs
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills with suppliers/vendors and internal departments
- Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and stand for long periods
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to learn forklift training and become Hazmat certified
