Job Summary
Shipping and Receiving role on 1st shift focused on materials movement and handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, and shipping printed product. Performs manual and clerical duties for customer samples and finished products shipped via FedEx/UPS/USPS and other carriers. Responsibilities include checking goods against shipping documents, packing to specifications, preparing bills of lading, posting weights and charges, maintaining receiving/shipping records, operating material handling equipment (forklifts, skids, hand trucks), coordinating with customers, suppliers, and production, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and assisting management with departmental activities and training. May drive a delivery van locally. Requirements include HS diploma or GED (preferred), at least 2 years of relevant experience, proficiency with basic information systems, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate PVs safely.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of Administrative/operational support in shipping/manufacturing operations
- General knowledge of information systems including materials tracking systems, storage and retrieval systems, inventory control systems and reporting systems
- Proficient in basic math and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles safely
- Effective communication across departments and teams
- Attention to safety regulations and quality standards
