Job Summary
The Shipping and Inventory Associate is responsible for handling, transporting, and displaying fine art and antiques within a large modern gallery environment. Key responsibilities include coordinating condition reviews, packing, and shipping of highly delicate merchandise, preparing shipments using shipping software, managing requests for shipping quotes, and updating merchandise movement through gallery management software. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy in documentation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have at least an associate degree, experience in shipping or inventory management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or some college coursework in a related field
- 1+ year of experience in shipping, logistics, or inventory management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience with Salesforce, Quip, or similar business software
- Carpentry or furniture restoration skills, including frame repair, furniture polishing, or crate building
- Knowledge of fine art, antiques, or luxury goods
