Job Summary
Shipping position assists with completing all tasks required in the shipping process, coordinates daily shipments with Production Supervisors, assembles containers and affixes labels, prepares/packages orders per customer instructions, verifies shipment accuracy, assists with Bills of Lading and Packing Slips, enters data into the Sturges system, manages shipping material inventory, contacts freight for pickup, loads trucks, and participates in cycle counts; requires high school diploma/GED, basic computer and math skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and strong teamwork; safety sensitive role; located in Utica, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Shipping experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Able to multitask and maintain focus on following documented shipping instructions
- Must have attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Basic math skills
- Strong team player
- This position is deemed a safety sensitive position always requiring alertness
- Able to read, write and fluently communicate in English
