Job Summary
Strap and tally lumber, composite, and poles; rehandle materials; and operate equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining good housekeeping. Complete assigned paperwork legibly, perform computer functions as needed, and participate in all mandated training. Adhere strictly to company rules, Health & Safety policies, SOPs, and OHSA standards by wearing required PPE and reporting safety issues immediately. Work in diverse environments across all seasons, both indoors and outdoors, requiring the ability to stand, walk, and lift 50lbs unassisted. Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2 PM, with overtime availability during the busy season (May–September).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Stand/walk for significant periods of time
- Be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
- Good manual dexterity, hand eye co-ordination
- Comfortable completing repetitive tasks
- Attention to detail
- Excellent trouble-shooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Read and comprehend instructions, email correspondence, memos & schedules
- Communicate both verbally and electronically (email)
- Work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments
- available for overtime or schedule change as needed particularly in the busy season (May - September)
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift Experience is an asset but is not required
