Job Summary
Lead the night shift shipping team in Mississauga, overseeing order picking, truck loading, and material movement using Counterbalance and Raymond Reach forklifts. Operate warehouse equipment safely while completing daily inspections, verify product identification, and coordinate accurate dispatch of customer shipments. Inspect inbound trailers for safety compliance, load outbound trailers with proper stacking techniques, and confirm all shipments are labeled and documented before dispatch. Prepare shipping documentation, perform case counts, maintain inventory records in the warehouse management system, and keep the facility clean and compliant with GMP and food safety standards. Conduct daily startup meetings, communicate with cross-functional departments, and support the Receiving department as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Shipping Lead, Shipping Supervisor, or Senior Shipper/Receiver role
- Valid Counterbalance and Raymond Reach Forklift Certification
- Experience working in a food manufacturing, cold storage, freezer, or distribution warehouse
- Comfortable working in temperatures up to -20°C
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, inventory control, and warehouse operations
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or shipping software
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Knowledge of GMP, food safety, and workplace health & safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding warehouse tasks
- Must be available for night shift schedule (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Mississauga, ON
